Dr. Payal Gupta is a distinguished ophthalmologist with extensive experience in clinical practice and surgery. She completed her MBBS from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences, and post-graduation DNB from St. Stephen’s Hospital in Delhi. Dr. Gupta further advanced her expertise by fellowships in Cataract and anterior segment, Pediatric Ophthalmology, and Strabismus from Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot.

She is currently also associated with Fortis Hospital, Greater Noida as Consultant, Ophthalmology and has previously worked with well reputed hospitals like ICARE Eye Hospital & Post Graduate Institute, Noida; University College of Medical Sciences & Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Delhi; All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal and; Hindu Rao Hospital, Delhi.

With over 10 years of experience, Dr. Gupta has developed a robust clinical and surgical portfolio. She has performed over 9000 ocular surgeries and has over 25 presentations and publications in local, national and international forums. Dr. Payal Gupta has been awarded Best Free Paper (Cataract) Award at 69th National Conference of Delhi Ophthalmological Society Conference and Best Free Paper (Community Ophthalmology) Award at 43rd M.P. State Ophthalmic Society Conference. She is a lifetime member of AIOS, DOS, MPSOS and ISMSICS.

Her primary areas of interest are anterior segment diseases, pediatric eye disorders, amblyopia therapy, ROP screening, squint and eye movement disorders, medical retina and glaucoma, ocular trauma and dry eye disorders. She offers surgical expertise in handling advanced, complicated and traumatic cataracts, pediatric cataract surgery, microincision cataract surgery, topical phacoemulsification and IOL implantation, manual small incision cataract surgery, and squint surgery.

She is also active on social media for spreading eye health awareness in general population. In the same vein, she has also been a specialist on phone in program "Radio Doctor" for AIR FM 102.6, May 2023 and July 2023.
